This Kaboom! game is a great tool for reviewing past simple and past participle forms of irregular verbs. I use it in my EFL classes but I'm sure it would also work great in speech therapy sessions. Thanks to the pictures and rhymes this resource is also great for teaching dyslexic students.

How to play Kaboom!:

• print out and cut up the cards
• put them in a receptacle of your choice
• decide on how long you want to spend on this activity and set a timer
• pupils take turns pulling out a card and saying all three forms of the verb, pictures serve as a guidance (they rhyme with the past forms of verbs)
• if they say it right, they get to keep the card
• if they get it wrong, they put it back
• the next pupil takes a turn
• if they pull out a Kaboom! card, they put all their cards back
• if they pull out a Miss a Turn card, they miss a turn and keep the card
• if they pull out a Draw again card, they keep the card and draw again
• pupil with the most cards at the end wins (Miss a Turn and Draw Again cards also count)
