Brick Building letters activity for Lowercase Letters
In this hands on, multisensory activity, students won’t even realize they are learning! In this resource, they will learn letter formation by first building the lowercase letter with bricks, coloring the block letter, tracing the letter, and then writing the letter.
Building letters with building bricks is not only a fun and engaging way to learn letter formation, but students are working on foundational fine motor skills needed for writing. Students don’t have to use a pencil for writing, try broken crayons (broken crayons help promote tripod grasp pattern), q-tip painting, or fingerpaint. When writing letters for this activity, students use handwriting letter boxes to help with letter size, placement, and spacing. Perfect for pre-K and kindergarten centers, as well as OT groups, homeschool, and handwriting practice
