SUMMARY:

As part of the same prophecy, the Witches predict that future Scottish kings will be descended not from Macbeth but from his fellow army captain, Banquo. Macbeth, and his power-hungry wife - Lady Macbeth, is taken aback when King Duncan nominates his son Malcolm as his heir. Propelled by ambition, confusion, and greed, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth scheme to take the thrown and keep it...even if it means to murder the king.
