This is a Valentine's Day themed math mystery that is best for grades 3-5 This product reviews 2/3 digit addition and subtraction; both with and without regrouping. This product would be great for a whole group activity to leave for a substitute, an activity before a school break instead of starting a new topic, independent fast finisher work, or center work.

Students will read the scenario in the beginning to find out what the problem is, read over the suspect list and solve five clues to narrow down the suspect to find the suspect that committed the crime. My students love it when they're allowed to mark their own guess prior to completing this!
