Looking for a fun way to get your students practicing social skills through dramatic pretend play? This movie theater dramatic pretend play center is perfect to incorporate into your classroom encouraging playing roles of going to the movies!
What is dramatic play?
It’s the kind of play where kids take on roles and act them out as a way of exploring themselves and their surroundings. By pretending to be someone—or something—else, children can learn new ways to express themselves, share thoughts and ideas, and even get in touch with their feelings.
Dramatic play is a very important part of childhood development. Students will engage in literacy, math, self-regulation, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and social skills. They will be interacting with one another in positive ways and learning so much without realizing it!
Here’s what you’ll get:
All of the hard work is done for you. Simply print and cut out the LOW PREP pages and laminate them for use year after year.
Optionally you can add hard goods to make it more interactive. For example, popcorn buckets, empty candy boxes, red carpet, red rope for a movie effect, film, sunglasses used for 3D glasses, etc.
