It incorporates both Non-governmental (NGOs) and Intergovernmental (IGOs) — such as UNESCO, United Nations, World Health Organization**, Mercy Ships**, and more — explaining how they play a significant role in shaping global connections. These international organizations, such as the Doctors Without Borders, World Trade Organization, and World Bank, work to maintain peace, promote human rights, ensure economic stability, and address pressing issues like climate change, economic development, and poverty on a global scale. By learning about these organizations, students gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of our world and the importance of collaboration among nations. As an enrichment activity, students will be asked to work together to create an international organization to solve a world issue.
