In this activity, they must choose between 6 different quotes about poetry from famous authors like T. S. Eliot and Carl Sandburg and articulate why the quote aligns with their perspective on poetry. This is a great way for students to think independently about poetry, share their ideas with others, and to give you a sense of where your students stand on the subject of poetry!
