Get your students out of their seats to ask and answer questions using the present tense while getting to know each other. This is a great community building or social emotional activity for your Spanish classroom.
Set a timer for the activity depending on how long you would like them to practice.
Give one card to each student asking and answering the questions on their cards.
After each student of the pair asks and answers the questions, the students switch cards and give each other a high five. The high five adds community-building to this activity.
With his/her new card, s/he raises his/her hand to find a new partner to repeat the process.
Teacher should circulate while the students are talking to encourage them to speak only Spanish.
After the time is up, collect the cards and then discuss the questions/answers and any difficulties they had while answering the questions.
