This resource contains nine informational reading passages about energy sources along with two follow-up activities. There is a link to a YouTube video that introduces the different energy sources.

Students can read the passages independently or with a partner, record the type of energy they are reading about, tell whether it is renewable or nonrenewable, and list the advantages and disadvantages of the source of energy. Then students can share out jigsaw style with their peers. These passages are different lengths and can be used to differentiate. The types of energy include:
