The WRONG ANSWERS ONLY! speech therapy articulation game was created to target the "s" sound in sentences to improve generalization and carryover in conversation. Use these initial, medial, and final s sound task cards for a super fun individual or group session. These flashcards can be paired with your students' favorite activities!

WRONG ANSWERS ONLY! is a super fun speech therapy game that will elicit a high number of trials while practicing speech sounds. Your students will love this game and keep asking for more!

This articulation resource was created in order to help Speech Language Pathologists target initial /s/, final /s/, and medial /s/ at the word, sentence, and conversational level. This will encourage generalization and carryover of sounds in speech for the phonological process of stopping and for frontal lisps and lateral lisps. We know that "s" can be a very difficult sound, so let's make it fun to practice. Research shows that children learn much quicker while engaged in play. This is the perfect game to help our students produce their sounds more quickly.

This is a great resource to use when children are stuck at the word level of a sound. Students will be very motivated to produce their sounds in these silly sentences.

Included in this resource:

  • 12 initial /s/ task card question prompts with the following words: scissors, soap, soup, seahorse, seal, safe, sock, submarine, sandwich, sun, saw
  • 12 final /s/ task card question prompts with the following words: house, floss, glass, space, bus, horse, ice, cactus, dice, dress, fence
  • 12 medial /s/ task card question prompts with the following words: castle, ice cream, police car, grasshopper, bicycle, glasses, whistle, pencil, pacifier, dinosaur, dresser
  • 3 Title cards (either WRONG ANSWERS ONLY! or Silly Sentences
  • 3 word list cards

This resource can help target the following:

  • Phonological Processes: stopping, palatalization
  • Sound production for children with Dysarthria or weak articulatory musculature
  • Myofunctional disorders including tongue thrust
  • Articulation disorders to target initial /s/, final /s/, medial /s/

Used in Mixed Groups!

Vocabulary: State meaning of words, along with synonyms and antonyms.

Wh- questions: Ask who, what, where, when, why questions about each word.

Sentence production: Elicit full sentences containing each elicited word.

Complex Sentences: Use "because" to state the reason why an answer is wrong
