Oh no! Thanksgiving is almost here and the turkeys do not want to end up a meal! Help the turkey’s escape by making them a disguise!

In this lesson, students will learn hear a read aloud of How to Catch a turkey, learn about wild turkey's habitat, prey, predators, and adaptations through detailed slides and vocabulary, label the parts of a turkey with an interactive activity, watch educational videos about turkey's, and learn why we eat turkey on Thanksgiving. Then students will be tasked to make a disguise for their own turkey's and write a paragraph about their designs.

You will need:

• Turkey cut out (provided in lesson)
• Construction paper,
  Card stock, cardboard, printer paper
• Paint, markers, or crayons
• Glue, glue stick, or hot glue
• Feathers, stickers, beads, fabric, pipe cleaners, cotton balls, etc.
