Dots and Boxes give you a short vowel activity great for partners. This low to no prep activity gives
Dots and Boxes is a low to no prep activity that gets students practicing reading and writing their short vowel words along with strategizing on how best to create boxes.
Students take turns connecting dots until a box is formed. The student who drives the last line, making the square, claims the spot. They then write the word beneath the player they are. The student with the most words at the end wins. For added fun, there are blank spaces where students can write their short vowel words.
This set comes with 7 different sheets with a variety of words and blank spaces, including one with all words and one with no words at all.
