Teaching Spanish el restaurante vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun Spanish speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in Spanish by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

All of the words on each card are written in Spanish and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels!  You are going to love hearing your students speaking in Spanish to each other about el restaurante.

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the Spanish TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.
