How to Use:

Depending on the exact addition skill being taught, teachers will choose one of the addition mats for students to use to work on each addition problem. Counters should be provided to assist students with solving each addition equation. Students will draw one math fact card and solve it using the counters on the math mat. There is a recording sheet available should the teacher wish for students to record the addition facts they solved.

These addition cards make a great task box activity. The cards and counters can be stored in the same box for easy set up, clean up and storage.

When to Use:

  • Small Group Activity

This spring addition center is a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. The addition mats just need to be printed and laminated for durability. The task cards need to be printed and cut apart.
