SUMMARY:

F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby is set in the Roaring Twenties, a time of prosperity and excess in America. The story is narrated by Nick Carraway, who moves to Long Island and rents a house in the wealthy neighborhood of West Egg. There, he becomes neighbors with the mysterious and wealthy Jay Gatsby.

As Nick becomes acquainted with his cousin Daisy Buchanan and her husband Tom, he learns of Gatsby's obsession with Daisy, who he had a romantic relationship with before the war. Gatsby throws extravagant parties in the hope of attracting Daisy's attention. Will these parties re-ignite the fire or will they prove dangerous in the end?

This 10th - 12th grade canonized work allows students to look at themselves, their world, and their life choices?
