This resource contains 9 different snowflake projects to let students explore a variety of media in this cross-curricular lesson.  This highly engaging lesson is designed for 2nd - 5th grade students but can be modified for use with middle schoolers or younger students.  It includes National Arts Standards and TEKS (Texas) for 2nd-5th grades.

It includes step-by-step instructions with photos, cross-curricular & literacy connections, project variations, snowflake & winter facts, and more. Most of the projects are short - one day projects - that can be completed in one or two days - perfect for this time of year with testing & schedule changes.  With so many projects, make it an entire unit, use projects in conjunction with other winter projects, set up centers and let students rotate through, or let students choose their own projects. This is a great project for winter and produces amazing artwork for display.
