Winter Snap Cube Build and Write Activity
In this hands on, multisensory activity, students won’t even realize they are learning! Students can build a penguin, snowman, ice skate, tree, snowflake, and/or mug of hot coca using counting snap cubes given the provided visual model.
Building with blocks is a fun and engaging way to work on foundational fine motor skills needed for writing including fine and visual motor skills, hand strength, visual perception, in hand manipulation skills, and sequencing. Students can roll dice to find out which winter picture they will be building, and after building their picture, they can write about it. Options include word copy, sentence copy, and composing sentences on their own. Perfect for pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade centers, as well as OT groups, homeschool, and handwriting practice.
