This French reading comprehension activity will teach your students about the 2022 World Cup soccer competition and the controversies surrounding it. Learn about the history of the Coupe du Monde, how the tournament is set up, and what is coming in future tournaments.

This French reading activity includes two versions of the article - one for novice learners (more basic vocabulary, simple tenses), and one for intermediate and advanced learners (includes imparfait, passé composé and expanded vocabulary). No matter which version you use with your students, the comprehension questions in French and English will allow them to show you that they've understood. Each reading includes a glossary at the bottom of the page.
