This Writing Anchor Chart Set includes 2 colorful posters specifically designed to get students to think about and alter their word choice by presenting higher level alternatives. Blow these up using the instructions I included and print on multiple sheets, then laminate. I also printed 8x11 copies to include in my students' Writing Tools Folder.

Said is Dead! which features other words for said, which is terribly overused in my classroom when there are tons of better choices!

Use This...Not That! which features better word choices for commonly used words and expressions.
