There are one or two scenarios that younger students may not be ready to address emotionally, such as how the communist military rewards the killing of escapes. However, there are many safe scenarios that can be used for middle school age groups.

Practice AP Spanish® reading comprehension with these 2 articles to learn about the dying corals of the Great Barrier Reef and the growing problem of Electronic Garbage. They can be assigned digitally for distance learners and printed for in-person students.

The articles are written from the perspective of a Mexican and a Colombian and therefore make great sources for cultural comparisons and discussions about perspectives in different places in the Spanish-speaking world.
