These sentence-building worksheets include writing paper with picture boxes and will help your child or student build sentences and write sentences independently. Further, students can use the finger-spacing tool (in three different skin tones) to assist them in perfect word spacing. Students can also color back to school-themed pictures that illustrate the sentence they are practicing writing.

NOTE: You can use the finger-spacing buddy as is, laminate it, and/or attach it to a popsicle stick for further support of little hands. It’s recommended to print the finger-spacing buddy on thicker paper, such as cardstock.

**Best to print on cardstock**

To print, open as an image. Click print. Select wallet size and UNCHECK "fit picture to frame." Failure to uncheck this box will result in a cropped image. Choose the number of images to print. Hole punch and slip onto the clip on the cap of you INK JOY pen!

Please note the discoloration in the "live shot." My printer was out of yellow ink and I wasn't aware. Image will print as shown in the first picture.... as long as you have yellow ink ;)

This resource is a great book companion to “The Color Monster.” Students will have the opportunity to engage in four different activities. 

Activities included: 

1. Writing prompt: Students will identify how they’re feeling and why. 
2. Feelings Jar: They’ll have the opportunity to draw what causes certain feelings for them.
3. Symmetrical drawing: Students will get to complete the image of the color monster 
4. Coloring page

Read the book to your students and have them discuss what they’ve heard. Following the discussion, present the activities to them. Can be great for small groups, 1:1 sessions, or whole class.
