We are the Gardeners by Joanna Gaines is a fun story about a family who works together to garden. This story teaches the reader about the importance of hard work and never giving up. Along with teaching great morals, this story also teaches about actual gardening (including what animals help, which animals are bad, and what plants need to grow).

Through reading and interacting with this story, students will learn the joys of hard work, never giving up, and planting a garden. This pack includes activity pages covering vocabulary, note taking, writing prompts, and quiz for younger and older students.

A classical story with a twist!

The book, Real Friends by Shannon Hale and Leuyen Pham is great for children ages 7 - 13 years old, as they can relate with Shannon, the friends she makes along the way, the friendships she struggles to maintain, the lack of self confidence she has and she becomes more confident along the way, learning that you can have more than one friend, the importance of friendship, how to handle stressful situations, anxiety, conflict, and bullying. Students will follow Shannon along as she figures out where to fit in at home and in school. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and example sentences are presented in the packet. Students can also write vocabulary words in sentences. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. An answer key is provided at the end of this product. Students can also answer comprehension questions towards the end of the packet as well that summarize the entire book.

WOW! Two different options for the same book! How fun – QR Codes and Poke Cards. Both are favorite activities for the students in my classroom. Henry and Mudge The First Book poke cards are a great independent, partner or guided reading group comprehension activity. Henry and Mudge books are a just right beginning chapter book for second grade students. Students in small groups quickly make connections to Henry and his big, loveable dog, Mudge. The poke cards are self checking. After reading each chapter, students will answer each question by selecting one of three choices. Using a pencil, straw, or pipe cleaner, students will poke through the hole to choose their answer. The correct answer will have a mark above or around the hole. The poking process quickly engages the students and provides immediate feedback to them. As with the poke cards, the QR code cards are self checking. My students love using our classroom iPods or iPads to check their answers. Cards have chapter titles on them for ease of organization. Cards are labeled poke cards or QR code cards. Answer key is included and clearly labeled. Teacher Preparation: -For QR and poke cards - Print on light colored card stock for durability. -For poke cards - Using a hole punch, at each * punch a hole. -On the back of the poke card identify the correct answer by drawing a circle around the hole or marking an X above the hole. -Laminate for durability. Do your students love farm animals? They will love these adaptive books featuring 8 different farm animals.

Book 1: Students will select the correct animal and place them in the correct place using positional words (in front, on, beside etc.). This book uses the most color to make the positional placement of the animals more exciting.

Aisha, a 13-year-old girl living in Gaza city, chronicles her experiences through a diary during a period of intense conflict between Israeli forces and Hamas militants in Gaza. As bombings, power outages, water shortages, and infrastructure damage disrupt daily life, Aisha describes her fears for her family's safety and her disrupted education. She finds resilience through community support and small acts of normalcy like playing games with friends. Temporary ceasefires provide glimpses of peace amid the violence. But tensions frequently boil over into clashes and protests at the border, unleashing new rounds of bombardment. Aisha conveys the mental and physical toll of living through endless cycles of war and deprivation in Gaza. Yet she retains hope for justice and freedom in the future, fueled by the strength of her community. Throughout her diary, Aisha gives an intimate account of what it's like to come of age in Gaza against a backdrop of conflict and hardship.

There are thought provoking questions (and possible answers) at the end of the story.
