How to use Trimino puzzle:

Simply print out and cut up the puzzle pieces and let your pupils put them back together. Students need to match the word with the correct picture.

A biography writing unit about the recently deceased queen of England and the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II. The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in third grade or fourth grade. Students will learn about the famous figure whilst working on their comprehension skills and developing their creative writing.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.

A biography writing project about the the life of infamous British King, George III - who was on the throne during the American War of Independence (or the American Revolutionary War) and the Napoleonic Wars in Europe.

The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in fifth grade or sixth grade. Students will learn about the famous figure whilst working on their comprehension skills and developing their creative writing.

Included in this PDF printable resource:

• Four fact sheets which students need to cut out and sort into paragraphs
• Writing templates for four draft paragraphs
• Two prompt sheets for students to write their introduction and conclusion
• A template for students to write up their neat biography text
• A crossword puzzle and wordsearch activity to consolidate learning

If you would like to add another lesson, download my George III Reading Comprehension Activity. This would give the students more background knowledge before they start writing the biography.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.

A no prep fun and engaging for middle and high school grade students of history not he events of England in 1066. Develops students research and summarising skills with online notes. first introduce the topic with a short focused slide deck on the topic on Medieval Europe History. I would suggest enlarging the document to A3.

A research task on the different claims to the English throne in 1066AD. Students access the website on the research sheet for the information as a starting point. They are required to produce an argument with evidence from their research.
