These include within the classroom, at recess, in the corridor, on a bus and in the playground. This counselor resource is a great card game to help introduce and reinforce learning about coping and calming strategies. These are a great way to start or finish a group counseling session!

HOW TO PLAY
1.Simply pass out the cards to all the players individually.
2.Encourage everyone to sit in a circle.
3.Pick one player to go first.
4.They are to read one of their cards. For example, “I have Breathing. Who has Exercise?”
5.The next person who has the Exercise card reads their card and so forth.
6.Play continues until all of the cards are read.
7.If you want to make this more challenging, you can time the game and see if you can break your own record!
Simply cut, laminate and keep these cards for a long time! There are a total of 20 cards.

Are you looking for an engaging and effective way to teach students about peer pressure and empower them to make confident decisions? Our engaging Peer Pressure Lesson & Craft is designed to help educators and counselors guide students through the complexities of peer pressure with interactive and reflective activities.
THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES:
- 20 Peer Pressure Scenario Cards: 20 Scenario Cards written as first person to encourage empathy, understanding and compassion. On each card, there is a visual representation of the peer pressure situation, as well as a written narrative explaining what is happening. At the bottom of each scenario card includes a reflective question “Was I influenced by peer pressure?” Students are then encouraged to answer “Yes” or “No”. As an extension activity there are some additional reflective questions for students to explore.
- "Time to Stand Up to Peer Pressure" Watch Craft: A creative and hands-on craft where students create a wearable watch. When to use this empathy sorting activity?

How to use this empathy sorting activity?
Option A: For younger students or students not yet reading, this sorting activity can be used to stimulate small group discussions or whole group discussions. Does the person in the scenario show empathy? Or ”Does not show empathy?”
Use the discussion questions to help stimulate discussions around each scenario.
When looking at the scenarios that do not show empathy, add the 3rd Card: “What can you say or do to show more empathy?”
This will extend your students’ thinking and encourage them to delve deeper into the discussion around empathy.
