Le son AN J'ai...qui a? French Phonics| Science of Reading GAME-AN/EN/AM/EM
By La trousse de Madame
J'ai... Qui a...? (I have... Who has...?)
This great French phonics game is a fantastic way to get your students talking. Students of every grade absolutely love this easy to use card game. The easy prep cards can be made in colour or black and white and can be used with words or without, depending on the level of French phonological awareness that they have acquired.
If they are only setting out in their French journey, try cards with no words and watch them get talking. With students that have been learning with the Science of Reading, decoding and blending are the next steps.
Once students have all the simple sounds (sons simples) in French, we start to introduce complex sounds (sons complexes). I usually teach OU first and then AN. This allows students to now be able to decode hundreds of words.
Activity Cards include:
-memory practice
-decoding practice
-blending sounds
-lowercase letter recognition
-identifying phonemes
-decoding simple and complex sounds
-word recognition
-identifying sound in an image
-matching sounds and words
-student interaction
-oral fluency and efficiency
-builds confidence in speaking French in class
Science of Reading:
These cards are aligned with sounds being taught in any Science of Reading aligned curriculum. They are set up for student success based on the research for increasing reading fluency and building student confidence in the classroom!
Once you have established the strategies for identifying sounds, initial sounds, and blending sounds, segmenting sounds, students will be able to use these self-driven phonics game cards on their own. What a great way to build learning autonomy!
Vocabulary used:
-aimant, amande, ambulance, banc, cerf-volant, enfant, fantome, flamand, framboise, gant, gland, grand-maman, kangourou, orange, panda, pantalon, valentin, vampire, volcan
Who can use this resource:
Teachers who are just getting accustomed to using strategies from the Science of Reading can use these simple game cards to open up independent practice, small group evaluation, or up on a digital screen for whole group instruction and reading practice.
Make a set and send them home with students to build fluency in reading and confidence in reading strategies.
Sentences are designed to build a number of common French sounds and get more challenging as they go on.
Students build reading fluency depending on their level (words or no words)
What grade level:
I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

FRENCH MATHS | JEU/GAME | J'AI QUI A | MULTIPLES | FAITS | 11, 12 et 13

By French Made Fun!
Ce document de 14 pages contient 40 cartes pour que vos élèves pratiquent la valeur de position.
Ce sont des activités rapides et faciles à laisser avec un suppléant, à utiliser dans un centre de mathématiques ou comme introduction ou révision du sujet. Cela fonctionne bien comme retour ou simplement comme activité pour faire bouger vos élèves.
Amusez-vous!

FRENCH MATHS | CHARTS | DIAGRAMMES | REPRÉSENTATION GRAPHIQUE | INTERPRÉTER
By French Made Fun!
Creating charts that are precise, effective, visually appealing and authentic is a pretty big feat! Do away with the anchor chart paper and the countless hours or prep-work and use these to amp up your teaching! I use these with my grades 5 and 6 students in my split class, but they can easily be used as Reachback or revision in grade 7 or for students needing extra exposure; like younger students who are enriched or older students who are in adaptation scolaire.
This collection of 11 charts with accompanying questions will provide your students with an authentic understanding of how and why we represent data visually. Use them as an assessment tool (and print them), or use them as a teaching and collaboration tool (and project them for discussion and exploration) - your choice how you use them!
I've taken the time to create for you 11 printer-friendly charts with titles, subtitles, legends and accompanying questions to help your students explain their understanding of charts.
In this document, I've provided a list of ways you might use this in your classroom, and 11 slides (each with a different chart and questions). Although the data I've used is fictional, they're authentic situations which provide meaningful, rich opportunities for discussion and assessment. Here are the titles of the charts you'll find in this document:
I created this document to save myself time, so hopefully it's useful for others for the same reason.

By French Made Fun!
Sometimes, a little oral activity is all your Core students need to practice a concept, have fun, or be on their best behaviour for a substitute. This type of game is used everyday in my Core French classroom. They hear the sentences repetitively, learn new vocabulary and reinforce their learned concepts.
This resource contains 3 sets of 24 "J'ai... Qui a?" cards:

FRENCH MATHS | JEU/GAME | J'AI QUI A | RATIOS | RAPPORTS | PàP | PARTIES
By French Made Fun!
I use this 27-card J'ai... Qui a? Game after my students have become familiar with the term "rapport partie à partie." This card game will require your students to be familiar with the difference, and recognize multiple ways a ratio can be represented in order for this game to be successful!
If you're unfamiliar, "J'ai... Qui a?" games are whole group activities which reinforce their ability to read and say what's on the cards. This is a great revision activity prior to assessment and I currently use it with my 6th graders; but it could easily be utilized in grade 7 as a warm-up, or a reach-back.
In this 5 page document, you will find:
I print this document single-sided on 8.5" x 11" paper, cut them out, and laminate them to use year after year.
Remember to have fun!
Kaitlyn.

This ressource contains 52 cards and has enough material for 13 rounds if you play it like a classic game of Memory. Each round has:
There are so many ways your students can benefit from playing with these cards! Here are some ways I've used them in my own classroom.
Whichever way you choose to use these cards, I keep them on hand for months while we work through decimals, fractions, percentages and place value. They're an "on-the-fly" activity for me - and I often leave it for substitute teachers as well.
Don't forget to have fun!
