It was created after I spent hours this summer studying many various third grade lists, as well as the most important phonics and spelling patterns for third graders. It will help your students master words for specific spelling rules and patterns, as well as touching upon types of words, such as homophones and compound words (4th quarter).

Each list has 20 words that have a common pattern, prefix, suffix, or rule. The words have been well-researched and carefully built to help your third graders develop a stronger vocabulary, as well as spelling mastery.
