Don’t you want your students to have the opportunity to see baby chickens and ducks hatch? It is hard to incubate eggs in the classroom. It is messy, it can be distracting for the kids, and once the birds hatch you have to figure out what to do with them! ⭐Build all the task cards in one sitting. This typically takes 1 – 2 hours to complete the set.

⭐Have the task cards available alongside STEM and STEAM bins, makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, or available for early finishers to complete using any available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Use one card/Google Slide a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet with some of the challenges that require more problem solving and creativity.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build as many cards as predetermined, followed by show and tell with the class, or their families. Use the Discussion Questions to help guide this portion. Students can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker.
