5th Grade Geometry Review Game - Game Show Style
By The M-Intercept
Students will love this Jeopardy-like review game to practice all 5th Grade Common Core Geometry standards. Questions focus on the coordinate plane, properties of 2-dimensional shapes, characteristics of 2-dimensional shapes, and key vocabulary words. Points range from 100 - 500, which reflect the increase in difficulty throughout each category.
**FULLY EDITABLE** While the game is complete, it is also editable in PowerPoint, making it easy to add questions or change the level of difficulty based on your students' needs.
The game includes 30 high quality questions - 6 categories with 5 questions each ranging in difficulty from basic review (100) to challenging (500)
⭐Understanding the Coordinate Plane: these questions ask students to find and name points on the coordinate plane, as well as find distance between two points on the coordinate plane - all in the first quadrant
⭐Real World Problems on the Coordinate Plane: this category asks about the relationship between points on a coordinate plane when they are plotted to show a real-world situation. It also has students find the area and/or perimeter of a shape plotted on the coordinate plane.
⭐Classifying 2-Dimensional Shapes: students must answer questions about various types of triangles (acute, obtuse, right and equilateral, isosceles, scalene) and types of quadrilaterals (parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, square, trapezoid). Students must understand the key differences between each of these to help classify the shapes.
⭐Properties of 2-Dimensional Shapes: these questions involve understanding types of lines and angles, and how each is used to describe specific triangles and quadrilaterals.
⭐Mixed Review: students are asked computation problems to review addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division - all at a 5th grade level
⭐Vocabulary: this section asks about the meaning of words related to the coordinate plane, types of lines, types of angles, and specific names of shapes

6th Grade Geometry Review Game - Game Show Style
By The M-Intercept
This is the perfect way to review your geometry unit!
Students will love this Jeopardy-like game to review all Common Core Geometry standards. Categories include PERIMETER, AREA, 3D SHAPES AND NETS, SURFACE AREA, VOLUME AND VOCABULARY. Points range from 100 - 500, which reflect the increase in difficulty from 100-point basic review questions to 500-point questions that require students to apply their knowledge.
**FULLY EDITABLE** While the game is complete, it is also editable in PowerPoint, making it easy to add questions or change the level of difficulty based on your students' needs.
PERIMETER: questions require students to find perimeter on basic shapes, the coordinate plane, and to find the length or width given a perimeter.
AREA: questions cover finding the area of a rectangle, triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids and irregular shapes. Some questions are straight forward and others require studnets to identify expressions and/or apply their knowledge.
3D SHAPES AND NETS: questions involve having students name 3D shapes, find an appropriate net, and identify faces, edges and vertices.
SURFACE AREA: questions focus on finding the surface area of rectangular and triangular prisms, as well as pyramids. Some questions just ask for the surface area to be found and others require determining appropriate expressions.
VOLUME: questions require students to find the volume of a rectangular prism, find the length given the volume, width, and height, determine how many 1/2-unit cubes fit into a rectangular prism, and apply a given volume formula.

This bundle is composed of two great resources perfectly melted in a third file included, Geometry 2D shapes, the one has the links of these two resources:
2D shapes learning and 2D shapes quiz game
2D shapes learning (Let's learn)
Fantastic resource in PowerPoint that will be very useful when explaining the properties of each of the following 2D shapes:
- Circle
- Oval
- Triangle
- Square
- Rectangle
- Rhombus
- Trapezium
- Pentagon
- Hexagon
- Heptagon
- Octagon
- Nonagon
- Decagon
A total of thirteen 2D shapes in their corresponding slides, where we can see how many sides, angles, and vertices each one of them has dynamically and attractively through various animations. If you click on the number of sides shown in the chart for each of the shapes, an animation clearly shows which sides are. If you click on the number of angles or the number of vertices, they will also be clearly shown to the student using individual animations.
Apart from the shape drawn as an example, a real example of that shape and another example of that shape in the art world are shown. To see this last example larger, click on it.
2D shapes quiz game (Let's play)
Fun and educational quiz game with which to learn about 2D shapes.
These are:
- Circle
- Oval
- Triangle
- Square
- Rectangle
- Rhombus
- Trapezium
- Pentagon
- Hexagon
- Heptagon
- Octagon
- Nonagon
- Decagon
This game consists of 42 questions with between 2 and 4 possible answers each. Most of the time, only one of the options is correct, but in others, all the options are correct.
There are two kinds of questions:
- Which of these shapes is a square?
- What shape is this?
If the question is failed, the chosen option is framed in red, and a buzz sounds, but it allows you to answer again until you find the correct answer. When that happens, applause sounds, and the green button appears to allow you to move to another slide. The order of the slides is never the same thanks to the Visual Basic code for the green button to go to a random slide. However, you have the alternative of clicking on the blue "SKIP" button. That button will go through the slides in the exact order they are placed. If you think some questions are not according to the level of your students, press this button occasionally. If you have placed the slides in a specific order and want them to be played in that exact order, always press this blue button and not the green one.
When you first open the document, you will be prompted to enable content that is blocked for security reasons. That content is nothing more than the Visual Basic code for the green button to achieve that random order. Please accept it to use it, but you will still have the blue button if you don't do it.

Fun and educational quiz game with which to learn about 2D shapes.
These are:
- Círculo
- Óvalo
- Triángulo
- Cuadrado
- Rectángulo
- Rombo
- Trapecio
- Pentágono
- Hexágono
- Heptágono
- Octágono
- Nonágono
- Decágono
This game consists of 42 questions with between 2 and 4 possible answers each. Most of the time, only one of the options is correct, but in others, it may be that all the options are correct.
There are two kinds of questions:
- ¿Cuál de estas figuras es un cuadrado? (Which of these shapes is a square?)
- ¿Qué figura es esta? (What shape is this?)
Please accept it to use it, but if you don't do it, you will still have the blue button.

Discover the captivating world of three-dimensional shapes with our fun and educational quiz game, designed exclusively for PowerPoint 365 users.
In this interactive quiz, students will explore nine fascinating 3D shapes:
- Sphere
- Cylinder
- Cone
- Triangular Pyramid
- Square Pyramid
- Triangular Prism
- Cube
- Rectangular Prism
- Octagonal Prism
Engaging Gameplay:
With 37 intriguing questions and 2 to 4 possible answers each, students will put their knowledge to the test. While most questions have a single correct option, some will present the exciting challenge of having multiple correct answers.
Types of Questions:
1. Which of these shapes is a cube?
2. What shape is this?
Learn and Persist:
Fear not, as we encourage learning through persistence. Should a question be answered incorrectly, the chosen option will be framed in red, accompanied by a buzz sound. However, we provide an opportunity for students to try again until they find the correct answer. And when they do, applause resounds, and a green button appears, signaling their passage to the next slide.
Dynamic Slide Ordering:
Experience the joy of unpredictability! The order of slides is always different, courtesy of the innovative Visual Basic code that powers the green button's random slide selection. However, for those who prefer structure, we offer an alternative. By clicking the blue "SKIP" button, slides will progress in the exact order they are arranged. Use this button occasionally to customize the quiz according to your students' learning level. If you have organized the slides in a specific order and want to preserve it, remember to use the blue button instead of the green one.
Empowering Interaction:
Our game strives to provide a seamless experience. Upon opening the document, you might be prompted to enable content blocked for security reasons. This content is merely the Visual Basic code responsible for the green button's random slide functionality. To enjoy the full potential of this dynamic game, we recommend accepting it. However, rest assured, even without enabling this content, the blue button remains accessible for manual slide progression.
Ignite Curiosity:
Foster enthusiasm for geometry and 3D shapes in your students with this enthralling quiz game. The combination of fun and education is sure to captivate learners of all ages. Download the resource today to bring excitement and valuable learning to your classroom!
