- Lacing Cards: Featuring ocean animals, these lacing cards have easy-to-punch holes for students to thread a string or lace through, building their fine motor skills.
- Cut and Paste Crafts: Students will cut out pieces of ocean-themed objects and glue them together, creating fun crafts while improving their scissor and gluing skills.
- Play Dough Mats: Each mat displays an ocean object that students will replicate using play dough, with an "I Can" statement at the bottom to encourage skill-building.
- Three Part Cards Sorting Activity: There are two forms of flashcards included students will match. One card has the image and name on it and then other form of card has the image on one part and the name on a separate part.
How the Product is Used:
Teachers can easily prepare these activities by printing each component on 8.5x11 sheets. For the Write the Room activity, the images are placed around the room for students to find and identify. The Lacing Cards just need their holes punched for threading. The Cut and Paste Crafts are printed and ready to be cut out and assembled by students. Finally, the Play Dough Mats invite students to mold ocean objects with play dough, encouraging creativity and fine motor practice.

1. 'Find and write' resource: Your students will have to look with a magnifying glass for the tiny spelling words of the week hidden in the pictures and write them in the boxes. They will also be able to write a sentence using one or several words of the week and color the drawing whoever wants or finishes soon.

For children with greater ease when it comes to tracing the hidden words, I'd use the "Find and write" resource, while for the rest, I would opt for the "Find, circle, and trace" resource.
You will find three PDF files with three different font sizes of the hidden words for children with problems seeing words due to their visual ability. Use the one that suits each child or your group best. The two smaller ones will require the use of a magnifying glass, but most will be able to read the larger one without using it.

Some possible activities you could do with this resource:
- I Spy Game. Hide flashcards around the classroom for students to find and write on one of the two available worksheets*.
- Dictate the words on the flashcards in random order and have the students write them on one of the two available worksheets*.
- Use them as a Literacy Center. Laminate each flashcard. Place them face up and ask your students to find a specific word. You can do that only with the words of that week, with the words of a module, or with the whole set of words of the year.

- Fill in the blocks with each letter's size and length.

Encuentra, escribe y traza las palabras de la semana de Primer Grado

Magnífico recurso para trabajar 396 palabras de la semana de HMH de primer grado en 36 semanas (11 por semana), tanto las 5 palabras de uso frecuente como 6 de las palabras de ortografía semanales.
No hay mejor forma para aprender vocabulario que escribir las palabras tras fijarte minuciósamente en como se escriben.
Dos posibles actividades:
1. Encuentra y escribe: Tus estudiantes tendrán que buscar con una lupa las palabras diminutas de la semana de HMH ocultas en los dibujos de animales y escribirlas en el margen derecho. Además podrán escribir una oración utilizando una o varias de las palabras de la semana y colorear el dibujo los que gusten o hayan terminado pronto.

2. Encuentra, marca y traza: Tus estudiantes tendrán que buscar con una lupa las palabras diminutas de la semana de HMH ocultas en los dibujos de animales, marcarlas con un círculo o línea, y trazar las palabras escritas con letra de puntos en el margen derecho. Además podrán escribir una oración utilizando una o varias de las palabras de la semana y colorear el dibujo los que gusten o hayan terminado pronto.

Diferenciación:
- Para niños con mayor facilidad a la hora de trazar las palabras escondidas, utilizaremos las fichas de "Encuentra y escribe", mientras que para el restro podríamos optar por las fichas de "Encuentra, marca y traza"
- Ambos productos se pueden adquirir por separado.
- Para niños con problemas para ver las palabras debido a su capacidad visual, encontrarás tres archivos PDF con tres tamaños de letra de las palabras ocultas diferente. Utiliza la que más le convenga a cada niño o a tu grupo. Las dos más pequeñas requerirán el uso de lupa, pero la más grande la mayoría podrá leerlas sin necesidad de utilizarla.

Engaging "I Spy" Game to Master HMH Spanish High-frequency Words for Kinder
Dive into the captivating world of Spanish vocabulary with our "I Spy" game specially crafted to reinforce the Spanish High-frequency HMH words for Kindergarten.
Get ready for a language-learning adventure that unveils 104 HMH Kindergarten Spanish words, organized over 9 modules.
Our "I Spy" game is just one part of a comprehensive toolkit that provides diverse and interactive methods for teaching and learning. Each week, students will encounter 12 flashcards with the words of that module, except for module 1 which has 8 words. There is a different set for each week, even though the words are the same throughout the four weeks of each module, so you can play a different one each week during the 36 weeks of the course.

Explore a Variety of Activities:

Teach and learn almost 400 HMH First-grade words with these no-prep worksheets. Practice 8 to 14 words each week (the 8 High-frequency Words and up to 6 Decodable High-frequency Words). There is a total of 36 weeks.

There are two roulettes in every worksheet: One for the High-frequency Words and another for the Decodable High-frequency Words. Do the one you want or both.
You will get two 36-pages PDF files:
- One to use as a center. It has the Title instead of the Name and Date field.
- One to use as a worksheet. It has a Name and Date field instead of the title.
Directions for the worksheets: Take a pencil and a paper clip and use them as a spinner. Trace the spun words in the boxes of the table with a pencil or just color the boxes. Keep going until one of the words won. Write the winning words on the bottom.
Directions for the centers: Take a pencil and a paper clip and use them as a spinner. Color in the boxes for the words spun. Keep going until one of the words won. Write the winning words on the bottom.
-As the centers are laminated and the students use erasable markers in them, they won't be able to trace the words. Just ask them to color the boxes instead.
