RACE Writing Strategy Printable Presentation | Graphic Organizer ELA TEST PREP
By Christina Bush
Do your students struggle with answering text-dependent questions? Introducing them to the RACE writing strategy could be a total game-changer for you and your students!
RACE Stands For:
Restate the question
Answer all parts of the question
Cite evidence to support your answer
Explain how your evidence proves your answer
This Printable Presentation directly correlates with the Google Slides Presentation found here!
This printable presentation is already put together for you and ready to be printed and handed out to your students! Each step of the RACE writing strategy is discussed in-depth, with easy-to-follow and color-coordinated components. Each page contains a checklist for students to use while learning this writing process!
The last four pages consist of a graphic organizer (still color-coordinated!) to help you put all of the steps together at the end! The first two of those pages use an example question and response, separated into each step, along with all of the steps put together into one well-constructed response. The last two pages are CUSTOMIZABLE for you to add your own question and response!
There is also a Black & White Option for a more printer-friendly route.
