Display cards for parents to use at home to support children with their daily routine.
Why do you need this?
Visual timetable cards help establish a consistent daily routine for children, which is crucial for promoting stability and predictability in their lives. Having a visual representation of the daily schedule helps children understand and anticipate what activities will occur throughout the day.
Many children, particularly those with special needs, often struggle with transitions between activities, leading to stress or resistance. Visual timetable cards provide a clear sequence of activities, making transitions smoother by offering a visual cue for what comes next. This can reduce anxiety and meltdowns associated with transitions.
How and when might you use this?
Display the visual timetable cards in a prominent location, such as the kitchen or bedroom, to guide children through their routine, as a practical tool for structuring daily activities, promoting independence, managing behaviors, and fostering communication and consistency.
What is included?
117 visual timetable cards

By SEN Resource Source
This social story is designed to help children understand the boundaries around kissing and when it may or may not be appropriate. It teaches children that while kisses can be a way to show love and affection, not everyone likes to be kissed, and respecting others' personal space is important.
This story is perfect for parents, teachers, and caregivers to help children understand the importance of consent and respecting personal boundaries when it comes to showing affection.
What is included?
As well as a 19 page social story there is also a shortened adapted book version of the story with movable pictures to attach to each page.
Why do you need this?
The point of a social story is to use a patient and reassuring tone to teach children about social situations in a way that can be easily understood. Social stories can be useful for any child who is struggling to understand a situation or concept or needs help to understand a social skill or social cue, expectations, perspectives, common responses or is troubled about an upcoming event but social stories are particularly useful for children on the autistic spectrum for whom social cues can be challenging and who often suffer anxiety if they do not know what to expect from a situation.
How and when might you use this?
· To implement a social story, you should first ensure that you have eliminated distractions; that it is just you and the child sitting together focussed on the story.
· Initially you should read the story through twice with the child but it is then vital to revisit it regularly.
· Try to find a way to incorporate the story into the child's daily schedule.
· If the story is relating to a particular inappropriate behavior, it is useful to read the story when this behavior occurs, you do not however want the story to be seen as any kind of punishment.
· Regularly praise your child and keep it a positive experience.
These books should be used over and over to reinforce the point so I would suggest either putting the pages into a display book or laminating and binding them.

SPANISH VERSION - I tried it! - Fussy Eating, New Food Trial Checklist/Program
By All Therapy Resources
This resource includes a record for new foods that you want to try. Trying new foods can be scary for some people so this book takes a mindful and progressive desensitization approach making every little step towards your goal matter! Each individual sheet works on a specific food that you want to try. Simply record the food in the left hand corner of the page where there is an allocated text box.
There is an additional Tip Sheet which includes strategies to increase the range of foods.
There is a table included with many different emotions and feelings that you can explore with someone close to you. The table encourages you to isolate what you are feeling before you try the foods. This is very important because we know that when we acknowledge and validate feelings it makes it easier to achieve goals.
Another table is included where either dates or ticks can be included as your child or student progresses towards their end goal. The stages include 1. smelling it 2. touching it 3. touching the food with your lips 4. touching the food with your tongue 5. chewing the food 6. swallowing the food.
Breaking down each individual task makes this a whole lot more manageable! Try to keep this light and fun for your child and recognize every little bit of progress!
There is an example of one completed page should you require a reference or example. This is a great speech therapy resource which has been a great program and handout to provide to families who want to support their child around fussy eating and trialling new food.
