Spring Reading Log and Certificate Set
By Reading Club Fun
Here is our spring-themed Reading Log and Certificate Set! Our Reading Logs & Certificates are easy to print and ready to use. Once you and your young reader have decided on the amount of reading to be done, use a reading log to record the names of books, or the number of pages the child has read. When your reader has accomplished the goal, fill out this reading certificate and put it in a notebook, on the refrigerator or even in a frame to acknowledge the accomplishment. There are lots of different reading materials for children to choose from. Books are at the top of the list, but other reading materials may encourage reading and add an element of fun. Just for a guideline, some teachers and parents think that reading 200 pages = 1 book. You can adjust your reader's goals according to the level of difficulty of the material he or she is reading. Write the room scavenger hunt sheet! I made my own sight word flashcards and taped them around the room, then my students take the paper around and write them in when they find them. You can make your own or you can use the ones I made, also on my TeachShare (:
Colors in Spanish - Flash cards and word search (Sopa de Letras)
By Jessica
This Spanish colors spelling resource has 7 pages total including flashcards for 10 colors and a word search (sopa de letras). This is perfect for practicing colors spelling in Spanish for an individual or partner activity.
✨Take a peek at the preview to get a closer look.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Note: The flashcards should be printed on construction paper or a thicker paper. Then you can cut out the cards, glue the backs together, and laminate them for use year after year.
BONUS TIP!
Print the flash cards twice to make a bonus matching game! For this use of the resource, do not glue the crayon cards and word cards together; just print them separately and cut them out. Then, turn the cards facedown on a table. In pairs of two, students can take turns flipping over two cards at a time. When the student finds the card with the written word and the same color crayon at the same time, they can keep the pair.
HOW IT WORKS
Print out the word search and distribute it to students to do individually or in teams.
Print the flashcards on thick paper.
Cut out the flashcards and glue them so one side shows the crayon and the other side shows the spelling of the color.
Use the flashcards for the students to quiz each other on spelling.
