Use these weekly thematic word work units to introduce new words and practice spelling, handwriting, sentence building, and drawing. Each week features a different themed picture or pictures, six vocabulary words to learn, and five days of quick, fun activities using those words. Daily activities are numbered to keep the student on track and are quick enough to be used as morning work or in a literacy center. All units include five weeks of vocabulary work so that in months with four weeks you can choose the themes that best fit your classroom. This unit is great for a classroom but also works perfectly in a homeschool. The daily format mimics several homeschool vocabulary programs to make it easy to use alongside older siblings. Pair the themes up with your themed unit studies for added learning!
