~ The One Hundredth Day of School! is a great book to connect with the 100th day of school. Guided reading groups will enjoy making connections to their own projects, activities, classroom and school. The 10 page packet can easily be differentiated. ~Questions are based on Bloom’s Taxonomy and use higher level thinking skills. Students also think beyond the text to respond to many questions. Many questions elicit story recall responses. ~Included in the unit: -comprehension questions for each chapter -Ready, Freddy game – focus on characters and their actions ~ When I use this unit with one of my guided reading groups, the unit can last from a week to two weeks depending on how often the group meets. My guided reading groups also set their own expectations/assignments for completing their books.
