Editable Pastel Nameplates | Cursive | Multiplication | Place Value | Nametags
By Kristen Teaches Fourth
Are you in need of cute and functional nameplates/nametags for your students? Look no further! This resource is perfect for you! These nametags measure approximately 4.27 inches high and 10.91 inches width wise (numbers will vary based on how you cut them out). These are a bit bigger so they won't fit in the holders from target but they are easy to laminate. Once you edit - print on your preferred paper (cardstock is my preference - I like Astrobrights), laminate and cut! Easy to cut - just cut across in the middle!
Students will be able to use these right away to help with their multiplication facts, place value and gives them an idea of what the cursive letters look like! There are 3 options! For the primary kiddos - numbers 1 -30 on the top and the primary alphabet on the bottom! I am using them in my fourth grade class and the students are already raving about how helpful they are - no more straining to see the posters!
I attach mine with velcro so that students can easily take them with them if they work in a different area of the room.
You will need a font KA Jackfruit for it to look just like mine. I included the link to purchase the font in the file. Zip files open to an editable powerpoint!
Review are appreciated and helpful for me! Please reach out with any questions or concerns!

Common Core Language Arts Activities for Grade 1
By Bright Classroom Ideas Marketplace
The Common Core ELA standards aim to help students develop their comprehension and practical use of print concepts, the alphabet principle, and other fundamental rules of the English writing system. These basic skills are not the ultimate goal; they are essential parts of a successful reading program aimed at creating skilled readers who can understand various types of texts in different subjects.
Differentiation in instruction is necessary as proficient readers will require far less practice with these ideas compared to readers who are having difficulty. The goal is to educate students on new information, not repeat what they already understand - to decide when certain children or tasks require additional or reduced focus.
Students are responsible for meeting grade-specific standards each year and improving upon skills and knowledge acquired in previous grades.
This worksheet provides a lot of practice opportunities for your Grade 1 students in order to master Language Arts.
Physical Escape Room for The Lorax - Comprehension and Sight Words
By A Teachers Sidekick
This is a physical escape room to be completed after reading the Lorax. Students will answer comprehension questions for their clues along with spelling some sight words and vocabulary words. It all ends with them unscrambling letters to make the door code.
This will take some prep. You will need to print off all the clues (which I included some options already) like the gloves and the watering can. You then hang those up around the room for the students to find. Have a stack of clues by that item so students can get their next clue.
I would recommend having the students complete this in groups no bigger than 3 or 4. Each group will need a clue sheet so they can keep track of their clues and also provide you with answers. This also has the area where they will provide the door code. You will also need to provide the timer for the students. I recommend putting it on a projector board so all the students can see the time.
You start off by showing the students the intro message from the Lorax, then you provide the groups with the clue sheets, and Clue # 1.
If you would like to do a virtual escape room, I also have created one to go along with The Lorax.
I hope you enjoy it! Please rate and review.
