How can you use these task cards?

⭐Have the task cards available in makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, as a reward, or available for early finishers to complete using ANY available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Use one card or slide a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet or slide, and discuss as a class.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.

⭐Ideally the goal is to do one challenge a day, but you could certainly allow students to do more than one!

Don’t you want your students to have the opportunity to see baby chickens and ducks hatch? It is hard to incubate eggs in the classroom. It is messy, it can be distracting for the kids, and once the birds hatch you have to figure out what to do with them! This resource allows your students to see every step of the incubation process without all the hassle. You will receive over 2 hours of videos, along with worksheet pages that include parts of an egg, egg writing prompts, and egg drawing sheets. Add your own content in the empty spaces to create fun, educational resources! Once students complete the picture, they get to turn it into a stand-up character! You can also use it for oral language development, story telling skills and story sequencing.

Easy to Assemble!

When coloring is completed, cut out the picture and then apply glue to the “glue here” area. Roll the picture into a cylinder (or attach to an empty toilet paper roll) and then overlap the edges so that the glue makes contact with the paper. Tape or a stapler also work well if you prefer not to use glue.
