1. Go Fish / 7 Families Game - This classic card game is fun for students of all ages! This version is for practicing the I CAN / I CAN'T + VERB construction to say you know how to do something. Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and verbs in the present tense are used in the I - YOU - HE - SHE - WE - THEY forms:
2. Beginner level Dots & Boxes - An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the target vocabulary and grammar when teaching I CAN + VERB! The following constructions are used: I CAN / I CAN'T / CAN I?
The following infinitives are used in both games: SING - SWIM - DRAW - WRITE - DANCE - READ - RUN
3. Intermediate level Dots & Boxes - The following construction is used: CAN YOU...? 60 different infinitives are used in this version of the game.
