But have they ever heard of La Chandeleur, La Fête des Rois, Jour des Aieux, Carnaval, or dozens of other holidays celebrated throughout the Francophone world from December through February?

This flexible group project is a great way to expose your students to a wide variety of cultural traditions and practices in a short amount of time with minimal effort on your part!

Students will work in groups of 2-4 to research Winter holidays in a given francophone country. Each member will focus on one holiday in their country, conduct research, and create a group slide presentation to teach the rest of the class what they have learned. Optional graphic organizers are perfect for diverse learners and guided notes for students to use during presentations keep everyone engaged and learning!
