What is a Surd? | Skills Poster on surds
By LittleStreams
What is a Surd? This is a surprisingly slippery topic. As a teacher or tutor, we might have an understanding of what one is, but there are a lot of loopholes, traps and exceptions. This poster helps! We have found in our research that explanations of Surds often omit certain pieces of important information in order to generate a simpler understanding, only for the student to be told that there are some exceptions to the rules. This poster therefore aims to set a firm grounding on which to build an understanding of surds without having to navigate through the maze of exceptions and loopholes. If you have any comments or suggestions, and to stay updated please follow us or take a look at our Facebook Page Please click here to visit our website for more information about LittleStreams

On the second page, the passage is enhanced with Meanings and Definitions in order to facilitate and improve understanding. A Differentiated Learning Option is also available for students.

Do you love historical fiction? My novel, Hearts at War, features a white girl and a Japanese-American boy who are childhood friends whose growing attraction to one another in high school will be severed by war, family and social pressures once they enter college. They come of age in California and coincidence will throw them together again in the Pacific theater of war as they both serve in the military. Will they be able face the challenges of war and find a way back to each other? Available on Amazon or Kindle/Kindle Unlimited. Young Adults/Adults/Interracial Romance. I appreciate any reviews!
