This product provides a generic guide I came up with using AVID strategies as well as a reading my students did this year during their Science and Technology Unit. Using the AVID strategies to practice Close Reading in my AP Spanish Language and Culture course. I have provided this resource with a free example.

Scattegories is a fun and challenging board game that tests your creativity and quick thinking. I have recreated a classroom version for SPANISH LEARNERS called: ¡PÁREME LA MANO! also called in other countries, TUTTI FRUTI o PARA EL FUEGO. This is a fun game we used to play in school growing up in South America. I have tried in my own classroom and kids LOVE IT! This is such a great game to practice vocabulary and parts of the speech.

This product contains two versions of this game. One for individual play and one for a group game. There are a set of rules for both games but these are just suggested rules as you can set your own depending of the group of kids you teach. Kids will only need a dice, a white board marker and a wiper.

Spanish students make predictable writing mistakes, especially with the preterite and imperfect. Use this activity to differentiate practice for students. It can be used for distance learning or print it if students are in person. Help students prepare for an end-of-unit writing assessment and move to the next level of ACTFL proficiency!

Use this fully customizable Writing Workshop to target specific writing errors and differentiate for individual needs. The product contains activities to help students improve the following writing errors:

-not conjugating verbs

-not choosing the correct tense

This is a fun review game to play with your Spanish students. I designed this game using regular –ar verbs, as well as the verb jugar. This game can be played in centers, or you can print enough for the whole class to play in groups. The game includes:

• 48 cards
• two options for the game board
• an answer key.

Directions:

1. Determine who will play first.
2. The first player draws a card and must conjugate the verb in parentheses. If the conjugation is correct, the player spins and moves the indicated number of spaces. If it is incorrect, the player does not move.
3. The next player draws a card, and play continues.
4. If the player lands on “pierda su turno”, they lose their next turn.
5. If the player lands on “turno extra”, they get an extra turn.
6. Play continues until the first player reaches “el fin”.
