McDonald's is a familiar place for many travelers visiting France. But it's not identical to the American version. Read about the differences between them and what allowed McDonald's to succeed in the land of gourmet food and 5-course meals - while Burger King failed.
A short article for use within Google Drive is included, along with a set of questions in both French and English. Students can type/answer the questions within their drive accounts, OR you can use the forms and Flubaroo to grade it automatically!

French reading Compréhension de Lecture Le GIGN

Air travel, hotels, shopping, meals, transportation, museums, spectacles, and budge worksheets - you can use them on a stand-alone basis to address different themes, or together as one big unit. Includes a list of websites that will be useful to complete the project. Planning travel is a useful skill for all students but it's also a fun activity to do.
As your students work their way through the activities, they will be learning about different aspects of planning a trip. They will also learn about the city of Paris and its history and monuments. Each activity addresses a different aspect of trip-planning. Once they've done all of the activities, you can have students turn in the completed activities or put them together in a presentation about their trip. A fun way to learn a useful skill!

French reading comprehension activities growing bundle

Do your AP French students need practice reading non-fiction in order to prepare for the test? Are you looking for interesting reading activities that can be done as class readings, independent reading, or free voluntary reading? French Imparfait lesson and activity bundle

It can be difficult for students to get the hang of using the imparfait and many will need a variety of activities and lots of practice to get it. This activity bundle will allow you to get a good foundation in forming the imparfait and includes a variety of activities for students to practice choosing between the imparfait and the passé composé.

Focused grammar unit - a great introduction to the imparfait. Includes a PowerPoint to teach the basics, a printable version of the notes, and activities to practice using the imparfait. Also includes a reading about life at Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV so students can see the imparfait in action.
Hidden images verb practice - A Google slides activity, students fill in the boxes with the correct imparfait form of the verb. If they get it right, a section of the image will appear.
Digital practice games - imparfait, passé composé or imparfait. Self-grading digital games that give students more practice choosing the correct form of the imparfait as well as when to use it. Games can be played in either Google slides or PowerPoint.
Reading activity - Les zombies attaquent - a short story about a zombie attack at the local high school. Students will enjoy the fun story and see the interplay of the imparfait and the passé composé.
Reading activity - Sidney Crosby - a short biography of the star hockey player. Read the article, answer the questions and determine the reason for the choice between the imparfait and the passé composé.
Digital escape game - Perdu au Louvre. Students will use their skill in choosing the correct verb tense - passé composé or imparfait in order to help a friend who is lost in the Louvre museum. Lots of fun and a great challenge at the end of a unit on the past tense!

Être, Aller, Avoir, Faire - Beginner French Listening Comprehension With Audio

Quick and easy to use French dialogue listening comprehension for beginners exercise using être, aller, avoir and faire in the present tense. The dialogue is between Arthur, 9 years old, and Jeanne, the principal at his new school. Verbs are written in the present tense, and are in bold print and underlined. Audio, a cloze exercise, conjugation charts, and a fill in the blank exercise are included.
My students enjoy performing this dialogue as a skit in front of the class, and it's also perfect for using to speak with partners! Everything is in French, so this resource is perfect for traditional French classrooms as well as immersion.
