Être, Aller, Avoir, Faire + Descriptive French Adjectives - Correct the mistakes - No prep printables
These are simple, fun, and no-prep one page bell ringer worksheets in which beginner French students identify mistakes that have been made in sentences using the verbs être, aller, avoir, and faire in the present tense with descriptive adjectives.

French School Lunch Menu Activities Bundle - 5 French and English Versions
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
French School Lunch Menu Activities Bundle - 5 French and English Versions
Here are five no prep printable activities to use along with my free French school lunch menu series. You get five versatile worksheets that you can use with any of the lunch menus I've provided. Since there are so many menus available, having five different worksheets to use will keep your menu activities from becoming boring. All of the menus are in French only, but each worksheet has a French only and an English only version so that you can use them with any level whether you teach core French or in French immersion.
I recommend printing the menu you want to use on one side of a sheet of paper and the set of questions you want to use on the other. Talk about a time saver and fun cultural addition to your food unit!
Versions 1 - 4 have ten questions each while version 5 has six questions. The questions on these worksheets will have your students learning a lot about cultural differences concerning menu items as well as the amount of time French students get for lunch, why there's no menu for Wednesday, etc.
Your students will find it interesting to see that French kids are offered une entrée, un plat principal, une garniture, un produit laitier, et un dessert every day.
It would be fun to look up images of some of these menu items to show students what they look like and if they eat anything similar at their schools or homes.
These activities and menus are all included in my French Food & Drink bundle.

French verb PRENDRE - Upper intermediate translation
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
French verb PRENDRE - Upper intermediate translation exercise
In beginner French, we teach our students to use the verb prendre when talking about food and drinks and in some of the other most obvious ways. This exercise is not intended for beginners. This resource is for upper-intermediate to advanced students. There are 30 English sentences to translate using the verb prendre in many different ways. Since there are always other ways to translate sentences I have set up the exercise like this. It's a good way for students to realize that even though grossir means to gain weight, one can also say prendre du poids and it means the same thing.
1. Translate: He's gaining a little weight.
(grossir) : Il grossit un peu.
(prendre): Il prend un peu de poids.
Answer key is included. Keep in mind that translations can really vary. This exercise will be a good review for building grammatically sound sentences as many different different aspects of the language are included (present, passé composé, futur proche, futur simple, falloir, relative pronouns, lots of idiomatic expressions, and much more).

French verbs that use être AND avoir in the passé composé - Bookmark Study Notes
These bookmarks will be useful tools to keep handy as your students learn that some verbs can use être OR avoir as helping verbs in the passé composé depending on the context. The verbs used are: sortir, descendre, monter, rentrer, retourner, passer, and entrer. This is a fantastic resource to add to their French study materials. When students need a quick reminder of these rules, all they will need to do is pull out their bookmark. You may choose to share this with your students as an online resource, so I'm including two versions.
These bookmarks are included in my French Grammar Bookmarks Bundle.
