Algebra 2 Halloween Escape Room | Algebra 2 Self Checking Halloween Review
By AbsoluteValueMath
This Algebra 2 Halloween Escape Room is completely SELF CHECKING (and printable) and includes 40 questions to help Spencer's spirit get free from your school! Students will complete 4 multiple choice questions in each of the 10 rooms! Topics include linear equations, rate of change, slope-intercept form, systems of equations, exponent rules, multiplying polynomials and evaluating functions. After they solve the questions they will take their letter answer choice in order and write it under the locked door.
Before they can move to the next room they will go to the LOCK DECODER (Google Sheet) and put their code in. If the box turns green they can move to the next room. If the box turns red they must find their error and try again!
Their FINAL CHALLENGE will be to create their own multiple choice question per topic, which a template is provided for.
** Check the video preview for a walk through **

Graphing Exponential Functions Guided Notes | Partner Practice | Homework |
By AbsoluteValueMath
Learn and practice graphing exponential functions with this complete lesson. In this print and go lesson, you can print all 7 pages out and give it out as a packet to start the topic. Have them start off completing the word search with vocabulary associated with graphing exponential functions. Go through the guided notes with the graphing exponential function examples with them (or they can do it alone with the guidance of the notes). Then have them work with a partner to complete the partner problems. After that they will complete the independent practice to see what they understand on their own. You can assign them the HW for the night. The next day they can summarize what they learned, reflect on what was challenging and what was not and then rate themselves on a scale of 1-4 to self assess how well they understood graphing exponential functions.
TOPICS:
- Graphing exponential functions
- Making x/y tables
- Determining intercepts, domain, range, and asymptotes
ANSWER KEY INCLUDED.
WHAT YOU GET:
>> DO NOW: Students will complete a short word search to familiarize themselves with the vocabulary associated with exponential functions. They will fill in a chart reflecting on words they have heard of and have not.
>> GUIDED NOTES: You can go through the vocabulary, guided notes and 4 guided examples with your students.
>>PARTNER PROBLEMS: They will each complete 2 problems each and then check each others problems to reinforce the concepts of graphing exponential functions.
>>INDEPENDENT PROBLEMS: Students will then work alone to see how well they understand graphing exponential functions on their own without the help of their partner and complete 2 problems.
>>HW: Students will complete 2 practice problems to practice graphing exponential functions.
>>SUMMARIZE, REFLECT, ASSESS: Students will summarize the lesson, reflect on the challenges they had and then self assess from 1-4 to determine how well they understood graphing exponential functions.
