This resource features an engaging "Math Talk" activity that will have your students thinking, writing, speaking, and moving all in one class period during the last week of school! In this activity, they must choose between 6 different quotes about math and articulate why the quote aligns with their perspective on math. I use this lesson at the end of every year to see how my students' perspectives on math have developed and matured throughout the school year. This is perfect if you are looking for an engaging lesson plan during the one of the toughest weeks of the year!

Connect is a math-based card game that engages students. They can practice any math skill and have fun in this fast-paced environment. Students use flashcard-like playing cards and math symbols to match each other's cards. When there is a match, both players shout out the answer to the shown equation, and the fastest player wins!

The catch is, there could be multiple matches in a round when the top cards are taken off, creating a chain reaction of fun!

The best part is, you can edit the cards using Google Slides to fit any of your needs! This game can be used for ANY skill. Currently, the game is set up for solving trinomials when a = 1, but you can replace equations as you see fit. It's easy change the cards to addition, fractions, percent, solving equations, factoring, etc.

Even though the game is designed for math, you could switch the game from math equations to sight words, rhyming words, description words, science words, important dates in history, etc. The cards are editable!

If you are looking for an All About Me Worksheet for High School Students for back to school, this one page worksheet is perfect! Learn about who your students are on a personal level, academic level and find out some of their goals. Students can decorate this sheet after and it can be hung up on a bulletin board if your students feel comfortable!

My favorite section is the ACADEMIC section where students will check off boxes about statements they can relate to. Statements include whether or not they enjoy group work, where they like to sit in the room, if they consider themselves a leader and more! This section helps me the most with differentiating instruction and making sure students feel comfortable in my classroom!
