**Self-esteem **challenges are something everyone faces at some point—especially during the teenage years, when identity, social pressure, and comparison are at their peak. For many students, low self-esteem can show up in the form of negative self-talk, people-pleasing, fear of failure, or feeling like they’re not “enough.” This Self-Esteem Bundle gives students a safe, supportive space to reflect on their personal struggles without judgment.
Through meaningful prompts, reflective activities, real-life scenarios, and a step-by-step lesson plan with a comprehensive lesson-aligned PowerPoint presentation, students are guided to explore the true meaning of self-esteem. Figurative Language Passages and Four Corners Game | Close Reading | Mega BUNDLE
By Perfectly Planned Designs
This Figurative Language Short Passage BUNDLE includes every passage set in my shop with 3 close reading and writing worksheets each! ***Answer Keys Included!
Figurative Language Short Passage Sets are a no-prep, printable close reading activity that's perfect for middle school and high school. Each passage has between 206-226 words and is filled with between 14-19 examples of figurative language, such as hyperbole, metaphor, simile, and personification. I’ve found that although my students can tell me the definition of these terms, simile is the only one they can truly pick out in a text. As a result, their writing is filled with overused similes that need work! These figurative language passage sets are rigorous, use higher-level words and phrases, and in addition to merely identifying the different types, students will be asked to discuss the impact it has on the reader, as they’re asked to do on standardized testing. Simply print and go! There is truly no preparation needed, which is why this set is perfect to leave for sub plans, bell ringers, homework, test prep, review or assessment!
Four Corners Figurative Language Activity is a fun whole-group game or review activity. Your students will love moving around the room as you click through the 40 examples of figurative language, such as hyperbole, metaphor, simile, and personification. You will love this well-organized activity that allows students to test their knowledge, get exposure to high-quality examples, and even learn something new! This is an activity I use in my classroom every year during our narrative writing unit and I know your students will love it!

Activity:
Students can complete all three worksheets in each set as part of a packet, but I suggest using one each day. If you teach allusion, alliteration, idiom, or onomatopoeia, you can ask students to include those in Task 2 where they will be asked to continue the passage using a similar writing style. I have left some blanks on the checklist for this very purpose.
Reflection:
The class can review the answers and comments as a whole group when the activity is complete. You’ll be surprised how much better they’ll get at figurative language after being exposed to some high-quality examples!

It is important for students to develop strong work and life skills, as these skills are essential for success in their personal and professional lives. By mastering these skills, students can become more self-sufficient and confident in their ability to manage their lives and achieve their goals. Providing a comprehensive set of resources can help students with different learning styles and abilities to engage with these concepts and develop a stronger foundation for their future success in working and living independently. The variety of products in this Life and Work Skills Bundle include Google Slides, Task Cards, Worksheets, and Boom Cards which can provide different ways for students to engage with and reinforce these skills.

This resource includes 68 Writing/Discussion Questions related to morality and ethics. Introducing the topic of ethical/moral dilemmas in the classroom can open up opportunities not only for debates and critical thinking, but also for personal growth, empathy for other viewpoints and perspectives, and self-reflection.
These questions can ignite intense student discussions and expose students to different viewpoints about morals and ethics. It would be interesting to see how students think about certain issues and understand others' perspectives about what they think is considered the "right" thing to do and the "wrong" thing to do.
This resource includes both print and digital versions (with text boxes already created)! You can assign activities to students in person or remotely – either way works!
