Less than $5 2nd Grade Chinese Worksheets (by date, oldest first)

This Chinese New Year (also known as the Lunar New Year) activity teaches students about the animals in the Chinese zodiac and the years for each one. It's great for young elementary students to see the cycle of the zodiac and also great for young learners to practice their fine motor skills.

• Zodiac wheel template (it's already started for you with the year of the dragon!)
• Cut & paste zodiac animals with their name and year.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Easily print the resource from your computer.

2. Have the students color each zodiac animal.

3. Students can cut out each triangle.

3. Students glue each zodiac animal in order going backwards after the year of the dragon (2024, 2023, 2022, etc.)

4. Students share their wheel and talk about which zodiac animal they are

These Who What Where When Why Differentiated Worksheets come with a digital WH question version of the story. Students will read the Chinese New Year-themed short story and then answer the Who What Where When Why guided questions.

In the differentiated worksheets, students have the option to fill in the answers or choose from multiple-choice options. The Google Slides digital version has audio support for questions and answers, multiple-choice answers, and self-checking.
