Do your students need Paperless Morning Meeting Slides or a Video of The Day to work on their reading skills while creating connections and building relationships? Using a Video of The Day can lead to tremendous growth academically and socially. The videos can be utilized during your Morning Meeting time along with your other components. 

The Video of The Day is on PowerPoint and can be used every morning during your Morning Meeting routine. All you have to do is bring up the PowerPoint each morning and play the video on the slide. There are 57 EDITABLE and DIVERSE videos! This PowerPoint is part 3 of a 3 part series.  Part 1 has 60 editable videos and part 2 has 45 editable videos! Students will infer, visualize, synthesize, and create connections with the videos.  Looking closely at a video is an important reading skill for students to develop to create inferences about what they are watching. Therefore, the inferences they are creating about the videos will lead to connections and inferences within their reading texts. Students who practice those skills outside of reading will most likely utilize those same skills while reading. You will need to teach students how to do that throughout the school year with the PowerPoint. 

Additionally, the Video of The Day can be used for writing prompts or centers. Students can view the video and write a story based on the video. The students may also write predictions on what they think would happen next if the video continued.  

This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners as well. You could assign one or more slides to their learning management system for morning meetings and writing or reading activities.
