Three adaptive books with a Thanksgiving theme! Read to your students with these interactive books about the Thanksgiving Day Parade, yummy Thanksgiving food & things we can be thankful for. These books require some prep work; however, once made, you can use them year after year!  

Book 1: Thanksgiving Day Parade

Students will listen to a short story about parade. The book has colorful pictures (but easy on that printer!) showing students what they can expect to see. They will see a big city, news reporters, big balloons, floats, bands & end the parade with you know who...Santa!

Book 2: Yummy Food

This story uses a repetitive text ("I like") and identifies the food. Traditional Thanksgiving foods are included: pumpkin pie, stuffing, apple pie, turkey, cranberry jelly, mashed potatoes, & dinner rolls

Book 3: I am Thankful

A variety of activities are represented in this book. What might you be thankful for? Pets, teachers, family, favorite foods, games, homes and birthdays.

Enjoy this DOLLAR DEAL with this Back to School interactive notebook that will guide your students by introducing themselves and getting to know classroom routines and expectations. This is a fabulous way to get your students to practice their skills and show off what they have learned. It has very simple cut-outs that make it super easy for young students who are just getting used to using scissors. Students will cut on the dotted lines, fold on the solid lines, and paste into a standard-sized 8.5" X 11" Notebook. This set of notebooking pages and worksheets are perfect to help students have fun and engaging ways to practice vocabulary and spelling words. These interactive pages can be used with any set of words.

These pages are suitable for any elementary aged classroom.

Included in this packet:

Pages 2-9 – Flip a Flap notebooking pages – These pages are available with primary lines and straight lines. Students will write their vocabulary or spelling word on the line, then open the flap to draw a picture of the word or write a definition for the word. These pages are made full sized. Print at 90% for spiral notebooks and at 80% for composition books. Pages are available for 6, 8, 10 and 12 words.

Page 10 – Stamp it! Notebook page – This page is already sized for a composition notebook and will work just as well in a spiral notebook. Students will write the word on the line and use stamps to spell the word. This page accommodates 5 words.

Page 11 – Cut and Paste Notebook page - Stamp it! Notebook page – This page is already sized for a composition notebook and will work just as well in a spiral notebook. Students will use magazine letter cut outs to spell the word after writing it on the line. This page accommodates 5 words.

Page 12 – Write It, Draw It, Use It page – This page is not designed to go in a notebook, but can be cut out to be used as such. This page accommodates 5 words.

Pages 13-14 – These are full sized versions of page 10-11. They are designed to be used as stand alone worksheets.

Pages 15-22 – These pages are designed to be folded to create a flip flap affect without the need for a notebook. Simple print, fold on the solid line and cut on the dotted lines.

This product contains four beginning of the year writing prompts. Cut out each prompt, fold on the dotted line, and glue in writing journal. Students will write response under each folded question.

Find It! is a dictionary skill activity that fosters independent work.  Each page focuses on a different dictionary activity.

The Find It! pages are sized for cutting out and gluing into a reading notebook.

This is a packet of THREE scavenger hunt (write the room) activities. The first is classifying nouns as person, place or thing. The second is finding words that begin with each letter of the alphabet. The last is differentiating between contractions and compound words. Word cards are included which can be laminated and hung around the room. My students love using clipboards to walk around the room and find the words! I also added in a couple of FREEBIE interactive notebook pages on nouns and verbs.

This special education adapted book teaches students what a verb is and explores actions that students engage in routinely. Students will engage with this life skills activity by matching real pictures to each page.

Have students cut and paste for single use or laminate and velcro for repeated use.
