The passages were written with third and fourth graders in mind, but the information is very interesting and would be useful for other grades as well. Some passages are shorter than others and have less complex language so that you can easily differentiate for students.

Help students predict and classify with this observation journal! Students first learn about the flowering plant life cycle. Then, they label the important parts of a plant. Student then plant one of 4 seeds- sunflower, firecracker, moonflower or marigold. They make predictions on what flower this will become based on the identification pages.
