Animal Intelligence Reading Comprehension Passages and More
By Science and STEAM Team
Do your students want to learn more about animal intelligence? Get students looking in their own backyard for signs of animal intelligence! This digital-ready resource contains eight short non-fiction texts. Read about the intelligence of squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, bees, crows, pigeons, goats, and pigs. Recording sheets for students to document evidence of the intelligence of the animal they observe and read about are included. There are also suggested YouTube videos.
In black and white and color.
The passages were written with third and fourth graders in mind, but the information is very interesting and would be useful for other grades as well. Some passages are shorter than others and have less complex language so that you can easily differentiate for students.
